Hannah & Caleb

2019: I (Katie) got to spend a summer working at a Young Life camp with Hannah and there happened to be a boy there for the summer that she had a crush on. 

2022: Hannah and I spent a week at that same camp, taking a class to better ourselves and our ministries. She was engaged to that boy!!

May 14, 2022: The day everyone had waited for… the day that was meant to be… Hannah and that boy’s wedding day! That boy… Caleb Turner would marry his best friend, Hannah Lloyd, on a beautiful day at Dara’s Garden in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

As Will said during their ceremony, “There really is nothing like this.” There’s nothing like two people who love Jesus and love one another coming together and celebrating with all of their loved ones. And what a day it was! 

From the moment Hannah’s mom put her veil in place, everyone was speechless at what a stunning bride she was. The dress… the flowers… the veil… and most importantly the “radiantly expectant” bride. As Hannah walked down the aisle toward Caleb, her “nervous, but confident” groom, his eyes welled up with tears… tears of excitement and joy for the life before him with his soon to be wife. 

After being reminded of who they are because of the Spirit within them, saying their vows, exchanging rings, and taking communion together, Hannah and Caleb were presented as husband and wife. After kissing his bride, Caleb led Hannah back down the aisle into their happily ever after. Their loved ones erupted with cheer! 

Then, it was time to celebrate!! There was cake and toasts and good food and plenty of dancing. The live band kept the party going all night and Hannah and Caleb’s full-of-life friends and family danced the night away. Before the end of the night, the band surprised Hannah by playing a song that Caleb had written for her… what a  sweet moment to witness! At the end of the night, the new Mr. and Mrs. Turner shared one last intimate dance together and then ran through a tunnel of sparklers and the applause of everyone rooting for them on that day and forever.
