Amy and Nick have our votes!!

This couple added lots of fun little personal touches to their day involving their love of politics. All the girls wore “Votes for Women” buttons while they were getting ready while the guys wore American flag socks for the ceremony. 

Amy and Nic were married at Graystone Presbyterian Church in South Knoxville. The sun shined beautifully through the stained-glass windows of the sanctuary on August 17, 2019. As they exchanged vows, a beloved professor from their alma-mater, Carson-Newman University, Dr. Donald Garner officiated their ceremony. On the day when the couple would declare their love to one another in front of all of their family and friends, they chose to remember the One who loved us first, by serving communion to each of their guests during the ceremony. 

Guests celebrated with bubbles as the brand-new husband and wife exited the church and everyone headed to Club LeConte in downtown Knoxville for their reception. With views overlooking the city, their reception also had touches of their love for politics, such as ballot boxes and campaign posters. The reception felt like a homecoming of sorts for us, as there were so many Carson-Newman alumni in attendance! It was so fun for us to get to capture this special day on film for some fellow Eagles! Amy and Nic danced into the evening, celebrating with their family and friends before they were sent off into their happily ever after. 

Amy and Nic, thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful wedding day. We hope you’ll relive these memories for the rest of your lives together!
