This was a special one for us! I (Katie) met Kaylyn when she was a freshman in high school and had the privilege of being her Young Life leader throughout high school. During that time, I got to share a ton of life with her, share the Gospel with her, and became close to her whole family. Maybe we shouldn’t have favorites in ministry, but everyone knew that Kaylyn and the entire Gair family were some of mine! They were such a blessing to me during my college years and after.

Fast forward to thirteen years later, what a privilege to get to still know and love the Gairs and to get to capture Kaylyn’s wedding day! 

May 11, 2024… the PERFECT spring day in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the wedding of Kaylyn Gair and Nick Gardner. The weather, The Venue, the bridal party… all stunning… but none as stunning as the bride herself. To say someone is “beautiful inside and out” can feel like a cliche statement to make, but with Kaylyn, it’s just so true. Her outer beauty just adds to the beauty of her kind heart. And it would only take you about five minutes with her family to realize that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They are all so kind and genuine and FUN to be around. 

As Kaylyn’s dad saw her for the first time as a bride, with tears in his eyes, he said, “I love you so much, but it’s still going to be hard to give you away today. You know what makes it easier, though? I really love Nick too.” What a testament to the fact that Nick is exactly who Kaylyn’s parents have spent her life praying for. The one God has designed for Kaylyn. And they found one another! What a gift! 

Kaylyn and Nick shared their first look in an intimate moment by the water and you could feel the excitement between them for this day and for the rest of their lives together to begin. Soon, the ceremony began with the sounds of a string quartet (and some unwelcomed cicadas). The ceremony was one that beautifully honored the love of Kaylyn and Nick and the God who created them and brought them to this moment. 

After the ceremony and cocktail hour, the most fun reception of all time ensued. After toasts from Kaylyn’s parents, a delicious dinner, and the first dance, the live band brought the party. The 8 South Band kept the energy high and the party going all night long. Everyone danced and sang along well into the night before a sparkler exit sending the new Mr. and Mrs. Gardner off into forever. 

Kaylyn and Nick, we hope your day was everything you dreamed of and more. Thank you for trusting us to capture the special moments of your day. We are cheering you on forever!
